VISAR – Virgin Islands Search and Rescue
Founded in 1988, VISAR are a volunteer organisation who’s main mission is to save lives at sea! They are modeled on the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) in the UK, who are the worlds oldest Lifeboat organisation!
VISAR Volunteers are on call 24/7 – in an medical emergency dial 767 (SOS) to reach them! In fact several of the Conch Charters’ staff are volunteers, including Brian, the owner, who has been a member for the past 28 years!
You will notice that part of your base extras is a contribution of $2 per person to VISAR- it is going to help fund these guys so that they can continue to do an outstanding job!

BVI Family Support Network
At the end of your charter if you find yourselves with any leftover or unwanted provisioning, how about donating it?
The Family Support Network in the BVI are a non-profit organistion that help families or individuals who have been affected by domestic violence.
Just drop any donations you have in the basket located in the Conch Charters office! Remember every little helps even if it is just a leftover can of soup! Unfortunately they can only accept non-perishable, unopened items.
