The global experiment!
We know you are going through the same thing. Now we wait to find out what happens when singles, couples, in-laws and kids are all locked in together.
BVI News
The BVI Government has extended the mandatory 24 hour curfew for another 14 days. Curfew was lifted over the last 3 days to get essential supplies only.
Thankfully, the Government classed liquor stores as essential supplies!
Need something more to look forward to than the next laundry day?
Don’t worry, the Gang at Conch has you covered!
Just dream, forget your world and plan your next amazing charter. Imagine a warm Caribbean breeze in your sails. Tacking up the Sir Francis Drake Channel off to a white sandy beach with lots of swaying palm trees. There is Reggae music on the wind coming from that beach bar just over there!!!
Schooner or later we will be getting our ship together reopening our friendly office and sunny docks.
We have some really cool new yachts just waiting to get back to having fun.
We are excited to introduce “Aqua Dream” to our docks – 2019 3 cabin Lucia 40 loaded with all bells and whistles. She is spacious and comfortable. Easy to sail with excellent manoeuvrability and manageable size, making getting around and mooring up quick and easy; giving you more time to relax on the trampoline with a chilled rum in hand watching the glorious BVI sunset!
This month we decided to take a trip down memory lane and picked up this beauty. A Lagoon 440 from our fleet called “CATNAPPED”!
Skill Testing Question
In contrast with the BVI’s normal mountainous volcanic islands, “Anegada” is comprised of coral and limestone fringed by miles of those white sandy beaches and famous for having over 300 known wrecks. The only real anchorage is near Pomato Point. What is the establishment with a dock that is long time famous for its sunsets, lobster dinners and ‘Dark and Stormy’ drinks?
Hit the WIN NOW button to send us your answer. Winner will be featured as our Conch Skills Champion in our next newsletter and win a free hat when you check in for your next charter.
For this month’s ‘lockdown’ Conch-coction you will need a gallon of Rum, a long stirring pole and two able bodied men…
Sorry just kidding!
Seriously, here’s what we feel like these days…
The BVI MULE KICK!!
1 oz of Conch Superior Rum (or another one that pales in comparison)
1 oz of Vodka
1 tbsp of Lime Juice
1 tbsp of Grenadine
1/4 cup of Pineapple juice
Pour into a shaker and shake till well mixed. Do not forget the umbrella and the cherry. (I know these were part of your lock-up provisions!)
As everyone knows, the world changes daily, as of today we are expecting to be back on duty on 16 April in our office. The office staff are working remotely to help you with your booking queries but may not get back as fast as usual for which we apologise in advance.
We are all in the same boat together, so to speak! We would love to hear from you. Do send us your photos of Conch Hats around the world, your last Conch-cation or even your next Conch-cotion!
With all our hearts from the gang at Conch, we hope you, your family and friends see the other side of this situation healthy, safe and happy.
