This month’s best boat name is actually the boat that our customers are never supposed to see… our chase boat
“Conch-orde”
It is appropriately named for its speed and is still up and flying!

Happy March from Conch Charters
Happy March and an early Happy Easter to you all. The BVI is host to the annual Spring Regatta starting March 30th through to April 5 where some of the best parties on island will be held and people from all over the world attend.
The best t-shirt we have seen on docks pretty much sums it all up… ‘Schooner or later we will get our ship together!’
Our Fleet…
We are very excited to introduce a few new additions that will be joining our fleet later in the year… yes I know, we are only in March and are already talking about our 2016 season… but we are that excited!
We have two 2010 Beneteau Oceanis 43’s joining the fleet with a more traditional finish, a 2008 Beneteau Cyclades 50 owner’s version with forward California King cabin and a brand new 2016 model Lipari 41, all making their way to us with a few more in the pipeline.
We can’t wait to welcome them to our docks and get you all out on the water for a sail!
Conch’s Fab Spot of the Month
What started out as a teeny tiny dock catering to Biras Creek Resort’s guests soon became an ever popular ‘hidden gem’ catering to all visiting guests to the North Sound, Virgin Gorda. Fat Virgin Cafe is well known for its ‘casual waterside dining’. They are open for lunch and dinner daily and offer a Caribbean Fusion menu with flavors for all palates.
Gourmet Magazine raved about Fat Virgin cafe and are quoted for saying ‘what made the dish so extraordinary was Esther’s zingy sauce’. If you have a taste for hot sauce, this is the one that you need to sample! Homemade with local ‘scotch bonnets’, this will definitely wake up those taste buds!
They have a well stocked boutique alongside with plenty of odds and ends to take home to remind you of this great spot.
Blend together with a cup of ice and pour into a stylish glass. In the BVI we float a little extra rum on top when served – why knot! Invite the crew around, don’t forget the fruit garnish!
Testing Question
‘Sydney’s Peace and Love Bar’ is famous for its honour system where you pour yourself a drink and pay your dollars in the jar. It is a great spot with a beautiful setting.
This yacht was hauled 1st April 2014 and thru hulls replaced, freshly painted with antifouling and recently inspected by a marine surveyor.
The Cyclades range by Beneteau were designed for the charter industry but is an excellent inexpensive and great value option for any type of cruising.
INTERIOR FEATURES
The interior is very spacious and the wide beam is carried aft to the stern. This allows for two roomy aft cabins.
Headroom is 6’6″ throughout the cabins and saloon.
This model offers three double cabins and three heads. The V berth forward also has a small settee and locker area. The showers share the space with the head area.
The practical portside galley has a stove, refrigeration and ample work surfaces for two chefs to work side by side.
The all wood chart table and seat is beautifully designed with the control panel, VHF and stereo to hand.
YACHT FEATURES
Twin helms with the master helm on the portside make the Cyclades 43 comfortable to sail and give easy access to the swim platform with boarding ladder and shower.
The cockpit has room for six crew to sit in comfort for outside dining, there is a charcoal BBQ if you prefer to grill al fresco. You have plenty of shade from the bimini over the cockpit.
Battened main sail with lazy jacks and stack pack, the genoa is roller furling.
