Next stop paradise

The British Virgin Islands or "Nature's Litte Secret" as it's popularly known, might be off the beaten path, but it's surprisingly easy to get to. This exotic destination might be closer than you think.

The British Virgin Island's main airport is the Terrance B Lettsome International Airport (EIS) on Tortola. Most flights to Tortola connect through other Caribbean Islands. Travelers from Europe and UK can connect via St Maarten (Princess Juliana International Airport SXM) or Antigua (VC Bird International Airport ANU). Travelers from North America can connect via San Juan (Luis Munoz Marin International Airport SJU) or Miami.  From June 1 2023 American Airlines is offering direct flights from Miami International Airport (MIA) to Tortola's Terrance B Lettsome International Airport.

Another convenient option is to travel via St Thomas. Many travelers opt to take one of the frequent ferries that travel between downtown Charlotte Amalie or Red Hook, St. Thomas, and the BVI. Getting to the ferry from St. Thomas Airport is easy via taxi. Simply let the driver outside the airport know that you need to take the next ferry to Tortola.

If you're looking for a unique destination that's easy to get to, look no further than the British Virgin Islands. Whether you choose to fly into Tortola, or take the ferry from St Thomas, getting to this tropical paradise is surprisingly simple.
