10 Night Itinerary

After the morning at our base doing your boat check out briefings and provisioning, head across the Sir Frances Drake Channel to Norman Island, where you can spend the night in the Bight. In the late afternoon take your dinghy around Treasure Point to snorkel at the Caves. Eat ashore at Pirates Bight restaurant that evening, then on to the Willy T for drinks.

Set out early and take your boat over to the Indians for a morning snorkel. Then enjoy an upwind sail to Cooper Island, stopping to snorkel at the Wreck of the RMS Rhone, located off Salt Island. Arrive at Machioneel Bay early afternoon to pick up an overnight mooring ball. Once moored, sit back, relax with sundowners on board enjoying the beautiful sunset or head ashore for happy hour drinks and dinner at the Cooper Island Beach Club.

Love sealife? Set off on your paddle board or kayak to explore the bay. Zip over to Cistern Point on your dinghy to snorkel with the turtles!

After enjoying the fresh pastries from the Cooper Island Beach Club coffee shop set sail for Gorda Sound with a stop en route for a lunch break and snorkeling at The Dogs. Once under sail again head for The North Sound, picking up a mooring ball you will arrive in time to get ready for sundowner drinks before going ashore for dinner at Leverick Bay restaurant.

Enjoy a relaxing breakfast on board to set yourself up  for a day exploring Virgin Gorda. From the Leverick Bay Marina pick up your prearranged rental car. Drive the length of the island enjoying stunning views along the way to The Baths. Spend the morning exploring the tunnels, caves and crystal-clear pools through these ancient boulders. Next, visit the Copper Mine, an area steeped in local history. Lunch in Spanish Town before starting the journey north again with perhaps a stop at Savannah Bay for an afternoon swim.

Last stop before the marina will be at Hog Heaven where you will marvel at the views while enjoying a cocktail or two! Allow yourself time to return to Leverick Bay Marina for Michael Beans’ pirate show, a happy hour with a difference!

After leaving the North Sound, stop at Great Dog for lunch and snorkel the Chimney, enjoying the beautiful corals in the shallows. After lunch, head down to Trellis Bay on the east end of Tortola. Check out local arts and crafts at Aragorn’s Art Studio. Have an early dinner and cocktails at the Market at Trellis Bay – the jerk ribs are delicious!

Check your dates… it might be Full Moon and time to party!

Need some TLC, take the ferry over to Scrub Island to luxuriate in the Mariott Resort’s spa, three restaurants and freshwater pool.

Cruise down the north shore of Tortola, keeping a look out for dolphins on your way to Cane Garden Bay. If you have time, stop at Monkey Point on Guana Island for some great snorkeling on the way! Cane Garden Bay (or CGB as it’s fondly known) is the home to BVI’s favorite night life. With live music every night, you are sure to dance the night away! Rum lovers make sure to check out the Caribbean’s oldest rum distillery – Callwood.

Head over to Diamond Cay on Jost Van Dyke to pick up a mooring ball. After a spot of lunch at Foxy Taboo’s, hit the trail that leads to the Bubbly Pool – a natural Jacuzzi! Don’t miss Sandy Spit – a idyllic white beach in the middle of the blue Caribbean sea complete with palm trees.  If you have time, head to Sandy Cay for great snorkeling, palm lined beaches, nature trails and loads of sea birds.

Leaving Diamond Cay enjoy a few hours sailing before heading to White Bay and enjoy the stunning beach. Sunset drinks this evening will be at the famous Soggy Dollar Bar, the bar where the Pain Killer was born!

Spend a leisurely morning exploring Great Harbour on Jost Van Dyke, before setting out for your short sail to Soper’s Hole on the Western End of Tortola. A great pit stop for water, ice and fuel. Don’t miss out an inventive Indian-Caribbean fusion food at Omar’s and a browse at the Arawak Boutique or Sunny Caribbe for that perfect souvenir.

Set out from Soper’s Hole for a great upwind sail to Great Harbour on Peter Island.

Be sure to snorkel off the boat in Great Harbour where the small reef system is teeming with smaller reef fish. There are some great hiking trails starting from behind the resort for the more energetic. Have dinner at the Peter Island Resort or at Ocean 7 Beach Club in Great Harbour.

Enjoy your last sail as you come back across the Sir Frances Drake Channel into Road Harbour. Arrive mid- morning so that you have plenty of time to make your afternoon flight or ferry back over to St. Thomas. Don’t forget to stop in and buy your Conch Charters T-shirt!
