The British Virgin Islands consists of over 60 Islands and Cayes, many of which are inhabited. The four main islands; Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Jost Van Dyke and Anegada are where you will find a choice of restaurants, shops, bars and places to stay. Some of the other islands are home to only a restaurant or resort, many don’t even have that!
With consistent Trade Winds blowing predominately Easterly 10-20 knots through most of the year it is a sailors dream! Temperatures in the summer months can reach 32°, but generally it’s a perfect 29° in the day time, then dropping to a cooler 24° in the evenings.
Rainfall is very variable! There are often isolated showers that pass through but September to November is usually the wettest period – just remember it’s warm and wet with not a chance of snow! Hurricane season runs from the beginning of June through to November.
